Tell me about it means Don't tell me about it

    English can be a confusing language. And to prove my point I’ll discuss the expression, Tell me about it, which in conversation, means I agree, I understand, I know how you feel.

     

    In English conversation, we rarely say I agree. Instead we use phrases like,

    you bet.

    I know right.

    I hear you.

    tell me about it.
