    I do not agree with this distinction, because we use ‘should’ for tasks also… :

    I should return the money he lent to me; I should attend the Mass this Sunday; I should study for a longer time

    I must go to work at 9 am; I must wear larger trousers because I grew fat and the old ones do not fit me any more

    It is mainly a difference between non avoidable and avoidable tasks
